Предлагаемая модификация метода позволила обнаружить антигены патогенных B. pseudomallei и B. mallei по наличию линий преципитата на границе гель-образца и геля с иммунными сыворотками. B. thailandensis , B. cepacia и B. gladioli таких линий преципитата не образовали, что дало возможность дифференцировать их от патогенных буркхольдерий. Способ ускоренного ЛИЭФ отличается простотой, быстротой исполнения, наглядностью. Метод пригоден для определения общих и специфических антигенов буркхольдерий, отбора иммунных сывороток, содержащих антитела к соответствующим антигенам, и может применяться как дополнительный аналитический метод выявления антигенов патогенных буркхольдерий.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Objective of the study was to develop a method that would allow for rapid linear immune-electrophoresis to differentiate between pathogenic agents of glanders and melioidosis and non-pathogenic closely-related Burkholderia . The put-forward modification of the technique made it possible to detect the antigens of pathogenic B. pseudomallei and B. mallei due to the presence of precipitation lines in between the sample gel and the one with immune sera. B. thailandensis, B. cepacia, and B. gladioli did not form such precipitation lines, which in its turn provided for the possibility to differentiate between the mentioned ones and pathogenic Burkholderia. The rapid enhanced linear immune-electrophoresis is easy to perform and compelling, and takes little time.
