<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Summarized and analyzed are modern literature data on capability of cells (neutrophils, eosinophils and labrocytes) realizing the mechanisms of innate immunity, to form extracellular traps that capture and kill pathogens by secretion of DNA and antibacterial granules content into extracellular space. The efficiency of capture and bacterial clearance is higher in extracellular traps than that in phagocytosis. The mechanism of extracellular bactericidal activity is supposed to play an important role in protection of organism from bacteria which are resistant to phagocytosis by leukocytes.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>внеклеточные ловушки</kwd><kwd>врожденный иммунитет</kwd><kwd>бактериальная инфекция</kwd><kwd>секреция ДНК</kwd><kwd>секреторная дегрануляция</kwd><kwd>лейкоцитарные протеазы</kwd><kwd>антибактериальные пептиды</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>extracellular space</kwd><kwd>innate immunity</kwd><kwd>bacterial infection</kwd><kwd>DNA secretion</kwd><kwd>secretory degranulation</kwd><kwd>leukocyte proteases</kwd><kwd>antibacterial peptides</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Долгушин И.И., Андреева Ю.С., Савочкина А.Ю.
